Which Pole Is Better In The NCAA Football?

There are many different poles in the NCAA football system. There is the AP top 25 poll, the BCS poll, the USA today poll, and the ESPN.com’s Power Rankings. But which one really matters? I am not a fan of the BCS system because I feel like they rank teams unfairly; you should not have an automatic bid into a BCS bowl game just because you are a big team in the NCAA. The BCS rankings really don’t take place until the bowl games come around, so I personally think that is worthless, but also I hate the BCS because I think the NCAA should have a playoff. The AP Top 25 poll is the one that ranks the teams throughout the season so that is the major ranking system. The USA Today poll is just a ranking system that the news paper, The USA today, ranks the team themselves but ESPN just puts their rankings on their website, no one really follows that. And the ESPN.com’s Power Rankings is also nothing all that important, just something for the ESPN website to get involved in. But the major rankings are the BCS rankings and the AP Top 25 Poll. Thank you.

This week in college football

This week was another dramatic week with upsets, to the BCS standings. Let’s start off with the upsets. First off, the punishing loss of Ohio State, the Buckeyes lost a heart breaker to the Wisconsin Badgers 31 to 18. The Buckeyes were down 21 to 3 at half and I thought that they were done, but they managed to come back in the 4th quarter to make it 21 to 18 with 11:38 left to go in the game, but the Badgers didn't give up just yet. A touchdown the next drive gave them a 28 to 18 lead with 6:57 to go and after that it seemed like the Buckeyes gave up with a 3 and out the next drive, which lead to a Badgers field goal to make it 31 to 18, then after the field goal, it all went downhill from there. The Buckeyes dropped from the number 1 spot to 10 in the BCS. Another big upset was the Nebraska and Texas. Texas has not had the year like they wanted starting off 3-2 for the season before the game against Nebraska. Nebraska was ranked 5th in the BCS but they lost to Texas 20 to 13. The other upsets, not as big as these games, was Kentucky over South Carolina, if you remember, South Carolina beat Alabama last week to drop Bama from the top spot in the BCS to 8th, South Carolina lost 31 to 28. The other upset was Hawaii over Nevada 27 to 21 and Washington over Oregon State 35 to 34. Now the BCS standings. I do not like how the BCS put the standings this week with Oklahoma being number 1, because I think that either Oregon or Boise State or maybe even TCU should be at the top spot in the standings because they have played a lot better ball than Oklahoma. If you remember back in like week 3 or 4, they almost lost against Air Force, which Air Force lost against San Diego State this week. Oklahoma does not deserve to be at the top of the standings.

Who is the best of the best?

Well first off, this is my first blog so don't judge me on how i blog. But my main topic is, who is the best of the best in division 1 college football? I personally think that Ohio State or Alabama is the best teams, not just because they are at the top of the rankings list, but because they have players that returned from last season. Ohio State has already proved that they can be effective this season when they played the Hurricanes of Miami U. But Alabama just had some problems with Arkansas with a very tight win but also, the SEC is one of the toughest confrences in the whole NCAA. I think that if the Bucks play Bama in the National Championship, they will end up losing because for 1, the bucks are 0-6 against a SEC team in the National Championship and 2, Bama has almost all of their returning starters from last year when they beat Texas 37-21 in the National Championship. So if you all could just reply to this and tell me what you think.
